Today, we’re highlighting two of our recent first-birthday sessions, each styled with pieces from our studio wardrobe and set against our signature fine-art backdrops. The result? Timeless, beautifully curated portraits families will treasure forever.

 **Session One: Boho Desert Warmth & Velvet Texture**

Our first birthday girl was styled in one of our studio’s most-loved pieces — a soft terracotta velvet dress that photographs like a dream. Its rich texture paired perfectly with her sweet curls and bright smile.

The scene was built around a neutral desert-inspired backdrop featuring a bold white cactus motif. Rather than overpowering the child, the backdrop added a modern, earthy elegance that feels unmistakably Texas. On the side, dusty mauve pampas grass added height and softness, while the decorative longhorn skull brought in just a touch of Southwestern charm.

Her simple vanilla cake — lightly frosted and sprinkled — sat atop a wooden beaded pedestal stand. She eagerly explored it with tiny fingers (and toes!), laughing and tasting with pure delight. Every expression felt joyful, authentic, and beautifully her.
